Passion Blog Brainstorming

Hello, everyone! Here are my top two ideas for my Passion Blog:

Best Study Locations on Campus –

So my first (and by far favorite) idea for my passion blog is to go around campus visiting various locations, and describe a popular/potential study location based on a number of different factors. Everyone has different preferences for studying – outside or inside, loud or silent, light or dark, etc. – so I will be testing out a variety of differing locations. Each post will include helpful information like type/amount of seating, a scale of loudness, the type of lighting, snack and drink availability, walking distance from each dorm block, and the overall vibe of the space in order to give everyone a very informative review of each location.

Field Hockey Understanding –

My secondary idea for the passion blog revolves around my love for, and high school experience playing field hockey, as well as my acknowledgement that it is definitely not a very popular, or well understood sport. The goal of this blog would be to hopefully draw people towards the sport, convince someone to go see a Penn State field hockey game, or even to just provide people with a basic understanding of the sport to shed light on how exciting and overall interesting a sport field hockey is to play and to watch.

  1. I really liked the study spot idea. The qualifications that you listed for a good study spot are extremely relatable and as someone who is in need of a study spot that would be very helpful. I also liked the field hockey idea because, like you wrote, I do not know much about the sport.

  2. I cannot wait to hear what the best study spot is because I am in desperate need of one. It is such an original idea so I cannot wait to see how you take this! I love all the factors you are putting into it because sound definitely matters for me! Regarding your second idea, I would love to know more about field hockey. Unfortunately, my knowledge around the top is limited, but I would love to hear more about your experiences and how it has shaped you!

  3. I really like both ideas they are very different from one another. I would be more interested in reading about the study spots since I’m in need of one. I think that the study locations is a really good idea and I liked how you planned on describing it. As for field hockey I think would be very interesting since my knowledge of it is very limited.
