Started in 2017, BASiL is a research laboratory in the Graduate Program in Acoustics at The Pennsylvania State University led by Dr. Julianna Simon. Our primary research interests include diagnostic and therapeutic applications of ultrasound with an emphasis on technologies that can benefit human spaceflight. Current graduate students have undergraduate degrees in acoustics and bioengineering.
BASiL is currently looking to add another PhD student (M.S. degree and/or prior biomedical acoustics lab experience preferred) and would welcome several undergraduate interns. Please contact us for more information about these open positions and to learn about the ongoing work in BASiL.
