The Beamforming Elevated Array for COsmic Neutrinos (BEACON) is a detector concept aimed to search for tau neutrinos with a radio interferometer on top of a high-elevation mountain. More details on the concept can be found at JCAP11(2020)065 (arXiv:2004.12718).
A prototype with four dual polarized antennas has been operating at the White Mountain Research Station since 2018 with the goal of detecting cosmic rays to validate the expected neutrino sensitivity. (See more details at the ICRC2019 and ICRC2021).
