Predatory publishers are corrupting open access
Unfortunately, there are always people out to take advantage of what began as a good idea. It’s happened now in academic publishing and it’s known as “predatory open access.” This business model exploits authors by charging them publication fees, but not providing them with the services associated with legitimate journals, such as editing. Chronicle of Higher Education
As of July 2011, Penn State holds an institutional license for The Chronicle of Higher Education, which allows all University faculty, staff, and students to read the Chronicle’s online content.

You can access the Chronicle from the Databases by Title (A-Z) list on the Library’s home page or, by creating a free account with your PSU e-mail address, you can log on to Chronicle.com from anywhere and have access to premium content.
