The Patricia S. Yahn Student Art Show accepted art from Behrend students (and alumni) February 15 to March 3, 2017.
Over $250 in prizes were given to this year’s winners. The show was juried by a local artist skilled in both digital and traditional arts. Our juror, Mr. Jack Stone, awarded prizes at the reception on March 15th from 6 pm to 8 pm and assisted in our selection process.
Visit the art club in OBS 126 at 8 pm any Tuesday! This club, along with their advisor Scott Rispin (gsr12@psu.edu) can point you in the right direction.
Extra Guidelines for Submissions
Titles must be attached to the back of each piece submitted. Artwork must be picked up by Saturday, May 6th , unless special arrangements are made. Although caution will be taken, all artworks are exhibited at artist’s own risk. Penn State Behrend, the Lilley Library, organizing faculty, staff, and volunteers will not be responsible for any damage to artwork as a result of participating in the exhibition. We will not be responsible for any work that is not claimed, or satisfactory arrangements made, by May 6th.
Artwork should be ready for display: mounted, framed (2D), with wire for hanging, able to stand on its own (3D), etc. Due to space/equipment concerns, installations, sound, video, larger scale 3D works, or other specific exhibition needs must be approved by organizing faculty.
