The John M. Lilley Library presents the Bookface Challenge, a photography contest whereby contestants picture themselves with a book cover overlapping their face or body. The challenge is in blurring the fine line(s) between art and reality. Plus, all entries become eligible to win fabulous prizes!

  1. WHEN IS THE CONTEST?

The Bookface Challenge runs September 12-23.

 

  1. WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

Entries will be accepted from Behrend students and staff only. Only 1 entry per contestant. Submit entries by September 23 to bookfacechallenge@psu.edu. In your email, please include your PSU User ID (e.g. xyz101) and note your PSU affiliation (student or staff).

 

  1. WHAT ARE SOME PHOTOGRAPHY TIPS?

You may use any book cover for this contest, however, you can also check out the books or borrow the dustjackets supplied by the library. Recreate the image from the front cover. Take a selfie or have a friend help stage the picture.

 

  1. WHAT ARE THE PRIZES?

There will be 3 winners among the student entries AND 3 winners among the staff entries. Winning entries may be featured on Lilley Library’s social media posts!

1st Place – $50 Amazon gift card

2nd Place – $25 Amazon gift card

3rd Place – Pizza & Ice Cream coupon for Paw’s Coffee Shop and Bruno’s
