The Penn State Behrend Sigma Xi Undergraduate Research and Creative Accomplishment Conference provides an opportunity for students to present their research and creative accomplishment results in a public setting. Many students use this regional conferences to practice their presentations prior to presenting them in a national or international setting. Typically, students present their results either by poster or by oral presentation.
The college also invites students from other regional colleges and universities to participate.

Undergraduate research has become an important and integral experience for many college students in recent years.  The undergraduate research projects displayed at this year’s conference represent the hard work and determination of the undergraduate student researchers in our local region of Northwestern Pennsylvania.  I hope you find the student projects presented in this year’s conference interesting and enlightening.
