Sustainable Food Systems Program Interns

Carolyn Hogg

Originally from a small hobby farm in Pleasantville, Pennsylvania and having traveled parts of the country working with conservation and gardening organizations such as AmeriCorps and WWOOF, Carolyn has always been drawn to the notion of living and working in harmony with the natural environment. During her internship this summer, she hopes to not only gain more experience growing and planning garden spaces, but also tap into the intricate network of people who are currently working together to strengthen local food systems and create accessible sustainable living practices.

Jenna Seigworth

An Oil City native, Jenna has been surrounded by farmland and rich nature throughout her entire life. She joined the SFSP crew with hopes to redefine her own definition of sustainability and grow her understanding of hands-on gardening practices. In her second year in this position, Jenna looks forward to using her backgrounds in Sociology and English to better understand how messaging around sustainability can become more inclusive for historically underserved communities.
