Air Handling Units and Air Processes

Introduce AHU type and configuration. Discuss air processes in AHUs. Discuss cooling coil energy balance.

Objectives

After this lesson, students will…

  • know the function of AHUs and the air processes in AHUs
  • be able to determine mixing air conditions at AHUs
  • be able to calculate cooling coil load from space cooling load, fan load and OA load
