Riley Rejniak was diagnosed with stage 4 Neuroblastoma in April 2017. He was days away from his first T-ball game when he went for blood work for recurrent leg pain. His mom received a call a few hours later saying that something was wrong and they needed to return to the hospital. They were transferred to Hershey later that evening. Riley was a month away from his fifth birthday when they found out about his cancer. He has been through 6 rounds of chemotherapy, has stayed 164 nights in the hospital, a surgery to remove tumor, a stem cell transplant, radiation and immunotherapy. Riley had many complications, but fought through them like any superhero would. As of July 30th 2018, Riley was declared officially in remission! He is 6 years old and currently in kindergarten. Riley loves playing video games, putting on costumes, and watching superheroes. His favorite superhero is Spiderman!
