About the Program

In spring 2022, nature lovers throughout Berks County celebrated birds through a community art exhibition.

With their pretty plumage, merry melodies, and inspiring flights, birds reveal the splendor of biodiversity—the range of amazing creatures living on earth.

Biodiversity is connected to the health of our community and our planet. When we take care of our environment, the animals, plants, and unseen microbes in our world flourish. In turn, these living things stabilize the planet’s ecosystems while providing an incredible range of benefits to us.

In this program, community members celebrated birds and our local biodiversity. On their own, or after attending a bird walk and following some simple instructions, they watched birds, made art, and then shared their work with others through the exhibition.
