Services for At-Risk Youth

The BeYViP Program also endeavors to provide services for at-risk youth.

Studies show that an effective way of curing violence in the community is to focus on youth who are most likely to engage in or be victimized by violence. Often persons who engage in violence have been impacted by violence int the past. BeYViP provides assessments for youth who are referred by the juvenile courts, family courts, schools or concerned community members. We will work with youth to identify needs and create a structure of support that can greatly reduce the likelihood of violent outcomes. Youth are incentivized to meet their goals and make prosocial connections with the community without the threat of punishment or involvement with the criminal-legal system.
