Another Introduction

Hey everyone!

I’m assuming that since the majority of the people reading this will be in my CAS 137H class, you all will have already read my introduction on my RCL blog. So to spare you from having to read another post of me just talking about myself, I want to elaborate more on what this blog will be about.

I’m going to write about gender equality. Not just what it is, but examples of it as well – in social situations, in the workplace, even in politics. There have been a lot of times I’ve seen, heard, or read something that’s clearly so misogynistic and just plain old wrong but still, no one does anything about it. This blog will be dedicated to making people realize why saying, doing, or writing those things are wrong and ways to change it. Maybe my rants and my long, rambling thoughts will make a difference on how you all interpret feminism, but maybe not. My goal for this blog is to at least get one person to think, reflect, and maybe change the way they view of the unpopular topic of feminism.

Besides that, I hope you all enjoy reading this as I advance my blogging skills in CAS 137H!

I’m so excited to see two feminist blogs in my group. Unrelated but tangential question: did you watch the recent sequel to How to Train Your Dragon? It was so sexist that it made me angry. Other people thought it was so progressive though. I’m looking for someone who saw what I did.

Sounds good. It might help to anchor the posts with examples from media where you see such misogynistic language or attitudes exhibited.
