Our outreach events are a wonderful time to connect with the surrounding community, families, and students at Penn State. We participate in many events throughout the year, always with activities and demonstrations in tow. At family events, we have kid-friendly activities like crafting and language games.
Upcoming local events:
- Liberal Arts Undergraduate Festival – September 12, 2019, 1-4pm, Pattee Mall (Penn State UP Campus)
- The College of the Liberal Arts holds an annual festival for all undergraduate students, including those interested in learning more about the majors and resources in the college. The festival will include more than 50 departmental and informational tables staffed by faculty and staff to meet and greet students.
- Exploration-U, date TBA (mid-November), Bellefonte Area High School
- Exploration-U is a large-scale community science program that focus on innovative, hands-on science activities led by collaborations between Penn State faculty and students, local school district administrators, teachers, and students, and community businesses and partners.
- Exploration-U, December 5, 2019, Bald Eagle High School

- Bilingualism Matters Annual Conference – September 20-22, 2019, University of Edinburgh, Scotland
- The Bilingualism Matters Annual Conference is an opportunity for members of Bilingualism Matters branches to come together over a full weekend and discuss network governance, to take part general academic exchange in the open Research Symposium and to share best practice in public engagement practice.
