Abstract

This talk explores the depth and breadth of Christian women’s involvement in right-wing politics – past and present – to show how they sustain, influence, and direct the religiopolitical entwinement in the country in undeniable ways. Thus, this talk sheds light on another constitutive element in the constellation of the US right.

 

Bio

Dr. Katie Gaddini is an Associate Professor of Sociology at University College London (UCL). From 2022-2026 she is a United Kingdom Research & Innovation (UKRI) Research Fellow at Stanford University and UCL. She is currently researching Christian women and right-wing politics in the US.
