This past Thursday, my COMM 100 class and I had a tour of the Penn State Library with one of the Librarians, Georgette. She walked us through some of the main rooms of the Library including the Commons area, computer lab, and book room, VR room, and more. Towards the end of the tour she taught us how to properly research a topic in preparation for our upcoming campaign research project. I learned that if I needed a book that the University Park campus didn’t have, a branch campus could ship it to the main desk in less than two days! So many resources I was not aware of, that I am now so excited to take advantage of. After the entire tour and research lesson, I feel more prepared and closer to feeling like an educated Penn State student.
