I thought your issue brief was well done. You had a lot of information about the harms of animal testing, why it’s not effective, and some alternatives to it. One thing you could add more to are the concerns for public safety/ the environment. You could also talk more about your policy proposal, such as it would take the federal government to ban animal testing or if you’re focusing on one state banning it.

The title is relevant to the brief and lets the reader know exactly what the topic of the policy is about. The thesis is “The pain and infringement of animal rights should outweigh any human gains from using them in the scientific or cosmetic setting.” This is a good start, but it should specifically reference the policy you plan to combat the issue with. The problem is articulated in a very urgent way, which is good because I was convinced by all of your evidence that animal testing is a very real issue. The harms are also well put as you listed a lot of different harms to both the animals and to people. The issue brief follows the problem, existing plan, and counterplan arrangement. There are 6 sources cited. The policy recommendation is feasible because it does not make a drastic change to current laws, but a small one that could make a difference. It might not be timely because it is a federal law, however. I would make the policy a bit more clear because right now it is more of an overview. Yes, infographics were included. You make a great case for your policy by using effective language and a lot of great statistics.

The detail is well-researched and the graphs are very informative, though I would expand on the proposed solution.
