Hello Everyone! Today I am going to be introducing two possible topics for my passion blog and I would love to hear your thoughts on them!
To begin, I think it would be fun to discuss one of my favorite T.V. shows of all time, Gilmore Girls! Gilmore Girls is an American comedy-television series that ran from 2000 to 2007. Created by Amy Sherman-Palladino, the show is set in a picturesque small town in Connecticut called Stars Hallow. The show stars Lauren Graham as single-mother Lorelai Gilmore alongside Alexis Bledel, who plays her sixteen-year-old daughter, Rory. The main plotline of the drama contrasts the relationship Rory has with her mother and the relationship Lorelai has with her wealthy, old-fashioned parents. Other common storylines include Rory’s experience at preparatory school and later college, as well as Rory and Lorelai’s interactions with their various eccentric neighbors.
I could talk about Gilmore Girls all day, but I do worry it could be a bit too narrow of a topic. As such, I am also considering reviewing a bunch of different television series I’ve watched. Some of my favorites include The West Wing, Never Have I Ever, and Downton Abbey.
So what do you all think? Have enough of you seen Gilmore Girls for me to write a whole passion blog on it? Or should I expand and talk about different kinds of T.V shows? Let me know!
That’s all for now,
Barbara

Hi Barbara! I also love Gilmore Girls and personally, I’d love to read a blog on it. I also understand that after a certain point, there wouldn’t be much to talk about. I think you should expand on a bunch of different shows. I also love to watch Downton Abbey and I’d read a blog on that any day. Your taste in TV is quite good and if you were to write on the shows you watch, I think it would be very enjoyable.
I think with the deep enough understanding you have toward the show you definitely could dedicate your blog to the topic. Tv shows can be interesting because the events in the show can be related back to your life and then you have a deeper understanding of the what the idea was. I definitely think that you should pursue this.
I think this is a great idea if you’re passionate about the topic! One of the best ways to enjoy writing and improve your skills is to write often, and it’s important to write about something you like so you don’t get burnt out. I personally have never seen any of the TV shows you listed, but I’m sure if you can find enough to write about, it would work great. I would recommend thinking about if you can expand the topic to something you can write about for a long period of time. In other words, can you keep writing about one TV show for an entire semester, or will you run out of things to write about? Just some things to think about, but otherwise, it looks great!
YES! Gilmore Girls!!! I think there is a lot you could do with blogging about a TV show because there are so many layers to each season, character, and episode. I fully support this idea.
As someone who knows nothing about Gilmore Girls but loves film and media, I think discussing the show could be really interesting idea! Doing all your blogs on it could become more of an analysis of every episode, so I understand varying the shows you talk about. Either way I don’t think you can go wrong.
I really hope you continue to do a blog about tv shows, that’s so smart and fun. I’ve only seen a couple of episodes of Gilmore Girls, Rory’s baby voice makes me so angry. It seems like the perfect fall show so maybe I’ll have to get into it when the weather finally changes.
