I posted last year about the marriage of MOOCs and Digital Badges. Now the HP Catalyst Academy is putting the concept to the test. The Academy is sponsoring grants for the development and delivery of STEM MOOCs, and badges will be part of the process!
My prediction: Badges will be an integral part of MOOCs within a year or so. It is a perfect way to acknowledge participation and completion of the tasks within a MOOC.
