Scarf Season

Now that the temperature had dropped below 50 degrees (for the most part), we can truly say fall has arrived. With the cool weather, comes the fall fashion.

This week I want to talk about one the most useful staple items in a person’s fall wardrobe…. UGGs!

Just kidding, I’m talking about scarves.

Scarves have been worn since the 1300’s, and you can find its origin in so many countries. Some societies used scarves as symbols of rank or hierarchy, while others simply used them to remain clean.

Now scarves are an affordable, easy-to-wear accessory used to stay warm.

Let me just say that I love scarfs. (emphasis on the word love) I even wear them on days where I have no intention of leaving the warm comfort of my house.

One of the reasons I love scarfs is because they make me feel comfy and cozy. The other reason is because they are so versatile.

So here are a few ways you can wear your favorite scarf this fall:

  1. The Vest

This style works with “blanket scarves.” Those are the huge scarves that drape your entire body. They are so incredibly comfortable, yet one can look so put together wearing it.

2. Western Chic

I’m not sure why, but this style gives me a western vibe. I think it has something to do with the triangular shape of the scarf after it is folded, but regardless it is chic. I love that this scarf is so overwhelming because you can wear it with basic, simple clothing. Just let this scarf make a statement.

3. Infinity scarf

The infinity scarf is pretty popular because it doesn’t take any twisting and tying to get it to look right. Just throw it on, wrap it around your neck once, and you are ready to go.

4. High fashion

Not every scarf has to be chunky. Why not wear slimmer, more petite neck scarf? This scarf can be just as much of a statement as any of the other scarves. You can dress it up or dress it down, either way you’ll always look sophisticated.

I love scarves too! I’m more into the infinity scarf look but I didn’t realize just how versatile they can be. That’s really interesting how scarves have been around for so long and that they’ve held different uses and meanings.

Scarves are the best winter staple item! I love blanket scarves. They’re so warm and easy to wear! I can also totally relate to wearing scarves just around the house.
