Winter Clothes

State College starts getting very cold starting from late October. Try to get your winter shopping done before that time. Newcomers usually have difficulty coping up with the cold weather. 

• Try to get a good jacket (e.g. Columbia), might cost around $120-$150, but should last you longer. Be ready to wear more layers of clothes underneath when the cold gets extreme near January – February.
• Winter boots are also good to have, especially for newcomers. Try to buy the ones with good tread, slip-resistant (to get good protection against walking on snow).
• Other things you might consider buying: hand gloves, thick socks, beanie, thermal
