BLOOMBERG TERMINALS

Bloomberg is the global leader in business and financial data, news and insight. Using the power of technology, Bloomberg connects the world’s decision makers to accurate information on the financial markets – and helps them make faster, smarter decisions.

Bloomberg is used in almost all financial companies as a research and data resource and knowing how to use the software is a crucial tool any finance professional should have. It is also a valuable tool for anyone that wants to learn more about a company, industry, or the stock market.

The Black School of Business offers all students the opportunity to earn the Bloomberg Certificates through the Bloomberg Market Concepts (BMC) program, which covers the essentials of financial markets through the following four modules:

  • Economic Indicators
  • Currencies
  • Fixed Income
  • Equities

With these certifications, you can enhance your resume, expand your resources for college projects, as well as earn knowledge about the Bloomberg Terminal. The BMC is free to all Behrend students and can either be completed in the Bloomberg office in Burke 158, in the Financial Services Lab in Burke 153, or remotely.

To create an account, follow the following instructions:

  • Logon to a Terminal
  • Type BMC into the command line and hit ENTER
  • Select (7) Sign Up and register for the course
  • Tick to confirm you are taking BMC as part of a group
  • Enter CLASS CODE: PSU500
