intrieri student managed funds

The Intrieri Family Student-Managed Fund at Penn State Behrend was always intended to be a long-game investment. When it launched in 2012, building on a $100,000 gift from Behrend alumnus Vincent Intrieri and his wife, Joanne, the fund promised a significant payout once the balance grew to $1 million: It would create scholarships for students in Behrend’s Black School of Business.

Joining the IFSMF team gives World Campus students an advantage in job interviews as well as in their career by providing:

  • Hands-on experience investing with real money
  • Job preparation for a career in investments and portfolio management
  • Competitive advantage for résumés and job interviews

You can receive credit for participation through the 1-credit FIN 362 (Associate Analyst) course, which is available to 1st and 2nd year students.  The club meets weekly and provides students with a foundation and exposure to investing and stocks, opportunities to ask questions, and preparation for upper-level classes like FIN 301 (prescribed course for Business students) and FIN 420, and FIN 461 (for those students in the Financial Services option).

If interested, please reach out to Tim Krause (tak25@psu.edu) and Phil Stuczynski (prs5007@psu.edu).
