Visit the Uyuni Salt Flat

The Uyuni salt flat in southwest Bolivia is the world’s largest salt flat.  You may be slightly confused about why I want to visit a salt flat.  Although it sounds horribly boring at first, hold your judgements until you take a good look at this picture:

and this one:

also this one…

Convinced of Uyuni’s awesomeness yet?  Wondering how in the world this happens?  After it rains, the rain settles on top of the salt, and turns the largest salt flat in the world into the largest mirror in the world.  The entire sky is reflected on the ground, and I know that the only thing that could be better than these pictures would be seeing it in real life.  Now I just have to find out how to get to Bolivia…

On another note, as promised, I did the gallon challenge this past saturday night.  To my surprise, it has been one of my best nights so far here at Penn State.  One of my friends, Craig, decided to join me in the challenge, and for the next hour, Craig, me, and five of our other friends laughed practically non-stop.  The only time I stopped laughing was when I was drinking milk.  Sadly, I did not beat the challenge, because when I got about 3/4 of the way done with the gallon, my body called it quits and sent the milk right back up.

I mean, have you ever seen someone feeling so happy and accomplished to be holding a bag of their own regurgitation?  So I guess I proved my post from last week right, because I did indeed have a blast in the process of crossing the gallon challenge off of my bucket list.  It’s true guys, if you want to do something, go out there and git ‘er done.  You’ll thank me later.

Haha okay, so first of all, those salt flats are awesome!! I would love to just stand there and look out into the distance- that would be beautiful! On the other hand, no so beautiful is that picture. Really really gross, but you do look so proud!

I’ve never heard of the Uyuni Salt flat until now, but it looks incredible. I would love to visit a place like this; it seems so surreal.
To the milk challenge: GROSS. I still love you, though. And it’s awesome that can say you want to do something and just do it. I know I probably wouldn’t have the guts.

The Uyuni Salt Flat looks glorious, I’ve never heard of it until now but the pictures are absolutely stunning and seems like the closest thing to Heaven on Earth that we have. It looks like they’re flying. But I’m glad you crossed off the milk challenge, yuckeeeee

I want to go so badly… that looks awesome. It almost looks like a cheesy photoshop job but in the second picture you really see that there is a floor. That’s amazing and it looks unbelievable, I’d love to visit it.
Congrats on almost finishing the challenge too! SO CLOSE!
