From left to right, Peter Butler, Seoyoung Son, Pouria Fattahi, and Dan Bowers pose in front of the BMES logo in Phoenix. Note that the “Mayo Clinic” background is appropriate. That is where Pouria will do his post doc!

Seoyoung Son publishes her work on integrins in Biophysical Journal
Seoyoung Son recently showed that the lipid bilayer influences all aspects of adhesion to the extracellular matrix, at the single integrin molecule level, all the way to cell migration. The work is described in a new article in Biophysical Journal. Congratulations Seoyoung!
Pouria Successfully Defends his Dissertation
Pouria Fattahi recently defended his dissertation. His work on mechanotargeting of nanoparticles to endothelial cells changes our thinking of nanoscale drug delivery. Congratulations Pouria!
