I believe in the importance of Family.
I grew up in large close-knit family that has always supported one another no matter what. I have 4 sisters, one older and 2 younger. Growing up I have faced many challenges as do we all moving through life. As I grow older I had learned that I would not be where I am today if it wasn’t for my family. Everything I do and every decision I make I know that my family will always support me and knowing they have my back through whatever is an amazing feeling.
Through every personal battle I have faced in my life from breakups to the death of loved ones I have always had my family to lean on. Family is the definition of unconditional love. They are a group of people that love you for who you are without you feeling the need to impress them. I have also learned that family isn’t just the people who are related to you by blood. In some of the lowest points in my life it is some of my family friends that have been there for me the most.
Family are the people that know the real you and care about your happiness and will do anything to help you achieve it. Without the support of my family I would not have the courage to chase my dreams. I am a transfer student here at Penn state after spending my first two years at Immaculata University. I was hesitant to even apply through fear of not being accepted but my family all believed in me and helped me through it. I am so very grateful each and everyday for all of them and the support that they show me and I hope that everyone can know the wonderful feeling of family support.
