This I believe

I believe that the loudest people in the room usually really have nothing to say. In many instances you see students together in a group with someone close by, isolated. No one pays mind to what is unusual or different. Now what does that say about society? This says to me that people are more concerned about status and looks before true friendship and connections. How does one feel when they aren’t in the snap chat with the “cool kids”, your friends hang glides by your face to get a good angle of the screaming clique? I believe that those people are truly missing out on the joys in life. You don’t get in touch with experiences with a phone, it hinders your ability to see clear. Those minds don’t see anymore than their own reflection.

I distance myself from those type of parties, or pregames as they say. There is nothing wrong with going home and enjoying a quiet night to yourself. I enjoy making myself a good dinner and winding down with a good book. Call it what you may but my brain is not shallow or small. My brain is large, no matter what a test or assignment grade tells me and I am ready to learn things unknown. I may not be the loudest person in the room, but I know the greatest minds usually aren’t. It is those people quiet in the corner that you look at side ways and really wonder what is going on with them. They walk against the crowd, those are the Einsteins or the Frankenstein’s of the world. To be socially accepted to what everyone wants but if you just don’t fit in, maybe you are not meant to.
