Matthew Mayer Weekly Story Idea 3

The Focus – To gain perspective from local residents about fear and standing on the Ebola outbreak.

People to tell the story – I would like to hear from people on the street to get a normal persons perspective, but also speak with doctors to see if they have even conjured the idea of it spreading to the area and if they began planning.

Key Details would include weather or not people are fearful, or if there is a plan of action or if anyone knows any more information that could teach my viewers better than I can.

The beginning – Explain what is going on throughout the nation with the outbreak and pose a question if there was a chance it came to our area.

The middle – Show reactions from community members of how they feel about it.

The end – End with a reassuring note that it is not here or around here and that people, for the time being, do not have to fear. I don’t want to be the journalist that scares the living sights out of people.
