A Tennessee woman who fell behind on her yard work was cited by code enforcers and has served a stint in jail over her overgrown yard. A local Judge heard the case last week and handed down a five-day jail sentence but amended it Tuesday to six hours.
I would like to localize this story by asking the State College Borough manager Thomas J. Fountaine, II what kind of rules/laws they have in place for local citizens keeping their yards maintained. I would also interview State College Chief of Police, Thomas King, to see what kind of repercussions someone who let their yard get out of control would face. Shots would be of some local houses and their yards and also shots of the borough building while talking about what the rules and regulations for the borough are. Maybe a shot of the local police station while talking about jail time or what kind of sanctions a citizen could face.
