The Axle (What do you want the viewer to understand? Use one declare sentence: Noun + Verb + Object. Do not use a phrase or ask a question here.): 10 aging Centre COunty Bridges are being renovated to make them more efficient and cost effective.
The Riders (Who are the best people to tell the story):
The best people to tell this story would be people who live in Centre County.
The Spokes (Any memorable moments: bites, sound, track, stand-up?):
Rural residents of Centre County could give good soundbites on what problems they have thought regarding to the old bridges. This could give a humanized angle because they could talk about what they actually have been suffered. And the problems are now about to be solved with replacing bridges.
We could also do stand-up at one of the current old bridges such as Casanova Road crossing Moshannon Creek, Rush Township. In this regard, we can show the current issues that they have to viewers.
The Rim (What are the beginning, middle and ending of your story?)
- Beginning:The beginning of the story could just introduce what is going on. The reporter would explain that the Consortium is planning to start a project which would improve the efficiency of local bridges.
- Middle: The middle would delve into what their plans are exactly and how local residents feel about the project. This is where their soundbites would come in saying whether or not they approve and how it would affect them, negatively or positively.
- Ending: The ending would wrap everything up and explain how long the entire project will take and any detours that may be in effect.
