Axle: On Friday, March 17th at 5pm 2017 Duffy’s Tavern off of Atherton Street will be celebrating the holiday with a wide selection of beers and menu specific to the Irish celebration.
The Riders: The best people to tell this story will be the employees, owners, and customers. Anyone who has some type of Irish heritage will provide additional information to the story.
The Spokes: People entering the bar and buying a drink would be the first shot I would like to have. The green atmosphere would be something I would like to capture because it is out of the ordinary. Most people will be wearing some type of green in their outfit so that will be something else I want to depict. I would like to get the kitchen framed in a few shots.. The conversations that the kitchen workers have are usually funny so I would like to capture a moment of laughter. Also the fryer and grill would add background noise to my piece. Finally people paying their bill would be a closing shot for my piece.
The Rim: The Beginning- I would start with people filling in past the bar and into the restaurant, buying their beverages and foods. I could get an interview from an customer who is of Irish decent and ask them what the holiday means to them. I think a nice shot would be of the customers enjoying their food and drinks, as well as having conversations with each other.
The Middle- Once the main courses arrive at the tables I will film customers cutting into their steaks or biting into their burgers. The refilling of beers is always a quality sound to record. There will be bagpipes playing at some point in the evening so that would be a unique sound for me to gather.
The End- At this point people will be finishing up their meals and drinks and I would be getting some reactions to the food and drinks. I would ask employees how their shift was and if there were any improvements that needed to be made. I would also ask customers what their favorite part of the meal was and what spastically they enjoyed. I would close the piece with a few more green
