My story idea would pertain to flu vaccine rates in Centre County compared to COVID vaccine rates

The Axel: With flu season approaching, drive-thru vaccination spots will be available for Penn State students starting on September 28, and with the COVID-19 vaccine being of contentious debate recently, I am curious to see if there will be a down tick in individuals who receive a flu vaccine this year in Centre County.

The Riders: I think the best people for this story would be those working the drive-thru vaccination spots, as well as workers from Mount Nittany Medical Center to see if they had numbers on hand regarding the number of vaccinated compared to years prior. Other possible riders could be those getting vaccinated to see if they think more or less people are getting their flu shot. On the other hand you could talk to those who are not getting the flu vaccine and their reasoning behind it.

The Spokes: I feel that key details for this story will be B-roll of the vaccination spots, as well as shots of Mount Nittany Medical Center. Nat sound for the vaccination spots could be cars driving up. I also think that the memorable moments from this will be the interviews that are conducted to get perspective from different viewpoints, specifically from those who are getting the vaccine and those who are not.

The Rim: To conclude this story, I feel that the best way to end would be to emphasize the importance of getting the flu vaccine from the perspective of health care workers. The concept of a vaccine has been the focal point for debate all around the country, and Centre County is another place where that is the case. Going from the casual views of those getting the vaccine to medical professionals will show the duality of the debate, and hopefully with the inclusion of factual guidance, viewers will be able to learn more about the vaccine and the importance of getting one.
