The Axel- This week, I’d like to spotlight the different concert venues and the arts around downtown State College, like Stage West, No Refund Theatre and Blue Brick Theatre
The Riders- For this story, it would be important to get the views and opinions of both the concert venue owners and operators, as well as the performers for these venues. It would also be important to get attendees of these events. The arts scene is very big here in State College and I believe it is important to put a spotlight on it.
The Spokes- I would want to get a lot of shots of the concert venues, the shows and people at the events. But it would be important to get these shots during shows and during the down hours when there is no performance going on. Throw in good shots of the downtown area in general and I think we got ourselves a good amount of footage for this package.
The Rim-
The Beginning- The beginning of the story should discuss the different kinds of arts performances around town, and talk about why it’s important to support local artists
The Middle- This is where the interviews would go and the main argument of supporting local talent would be, mostly coming from the mouths of said local talent. It would also discuss why it’s also important to support these local establishments as well.
The End- To wrap things up, I would want to have the footage of the venues in the daytime without performers. The script would read about the things offered around town in the arts and how it’s beneficial to go out and experience new things.
