The app you didn’t know you needed

With thousands and thousands of different applications on the App Store, it’s hard to keep up with all of them and some amazing apps slip through the cracks. With that being said, an app called Wolfram Alpha could be your new favorite application. Founded by Stephen Wolfram and Theodore Gray in 2009, Wolfram Alpha is a great engine for solving answers and providing knowledge on anything that you ask. It is broken into categories consisting of mathematics, science and technology, society and culture, and everyday life. It can answer complex mathematical equations and lay out each step on how to solve the problem which is vitally important for students and people who work in the mathematics field. The best part of the app and probably the most useful to people is the society and culture and everyday life categories. This is where Wolfram Alpha excels with everyday life questions like trying to figure out your clothing size in a foreign country you are visiting or finding out what size turkey is right for fifteen people. The competition to Wolfram Alpha consists of Amazon Alexa and AI devices like that but Alexa often provides users with irrelevant information that is not helpful to you. Wolfram provides consistent relevant information and provides its users with the right answers to their questions. Wolfram uses a very unique algorithm base to compute complex mathematical and scientific questions. It has a natural language processing system that is faster and more efficient then tutors or any other solution. While not all questions can be answered on Wolfram Alpha, it uses calculation, statistics, and computation to deliver solutions and the questions have to be particularly phrased or factual questions. Since the algorithm is constantly being updated and getting better, I’m the near future it will be able to answer almost all questions you ask it. I believe that once Wolfram Alpha gets more attention, many more people will start to use its services because it is so useful for students of all ages and even people in various professional fields. Wolfram alpha should be a necessity for all people because it is the best app for on the go anytime answers to equations and all different types of problems.
