This course has been so enjoyable for myself as well as my classmates and Im sad that it is soon coming to an end. We have learned so many important skills and lessons throughout the semester so it’s a bit difficult to pinpoint two. The two most important skills that I have learned in this course is working together in a team more effectively and successfully creating an entire app idea with my group members. I loved these group projects because it was a great way to get to know my classmates more and it taught me to really work hard in a group setting and divide the work up where we all had our own responsibilities to take care of. Another key skill that I learned in this course was presentation and public speaking. I have always been a little afraid of presenting to a group of people and talking to a bigger group of people but this class pushed me out of comfort zone and made me a much more confident person when it comes to presenting and talking to a bigger group of people. Furthermore, one of most important lessons that i learned in this course was how businesses really use social media to positively affect their goal. In todays world, people dont just have access to traditional media anymore because social media has taken almost everything over by storm. Businesses use social media every single day to grow their business and achieve more success. This course has also had a huge impact on the way I envision my career and future because it has grown my love for social media marketing so much more. My goal is to eventually work for a sports related business/company and to work on the social media side of things and after taking this course, I think that I am even better prepared to do so than I was before. Social media is extremely important in my desired line of work and this class has also showed when social media isnt always the best thing and the ways to fix it if something is not going right. Doctor Zhong was an amazing professor and I cannot thank him enough for the effort and enthusiasm that was always brought to class by Doctor Z and the other students in the class. In conclusion, I am so happy that I was introduced to this class and after reading the syllabus, I knew it was going to be an engaging and fun course to take. It went way beyond other courses that I have taken and really went in depth on how social media is impacting the entire world today. I am excited and eager to continue studying and taking classes like this as I believe it will continue to prepare me and grow my passion for the line of work that I want to do.
