Aria Moyer Weekly Story Idea 3

The Axle: The focus of my story would be the new Bellefonte Youth Center, which opened its doors on Wednesday September 17, 2014, and the children’s thoughts on the new facility.

The Riders: The best people to tell the story would be the Bellefonte Youth Center workers, Centre County Youth Service Bureau CEO Andrea Boyles, the children who go to the Youth Center and their parents.

The Spokes: The details I would include with be the children’s facial expression when entering the new facility and exploring their new toys. I would also interview the children and get their thoughts on camera about the new Youth Center. I’d also  interview Boyles, in which she would explain why the Youth Center moved buildings and what she thinks of the new facility.  In addition, I would also make sure to include footage of the old building to show the transformation.  I’d also focus on the parents and their thoughts on the new facility, as well as the Youth Center workers and locals in the new area.

Rim:  The beginning would be the children entering the new Youth Center and exploring the new building. The middle would be sound bites from the children playing in the new building, Boyles explanation on the move and workers and locals on what they like the best about the new building. The End would be sound of children talking and playing in the new building and their parents commenting on what makes the new building a better place for their children to gather. ending with a wide shoot of final word from the children expressing their excitement about the new Youth Center.
