Idea: Pregnancy Resource Clinic Celebrates 30 Years with Annual 5K
Axle: I want my viewers to understand that the Pregnancy Resource Clinic is excited about and celebrating 30 years of their service in Central Pennsylvania. I could make this story different than the print version because I can physically attend the event on this Saturday October 4, 2014 and create a package of the event taking place.
Riders: The best people to tell this story are Pregnancy Resource Clinic employees such as the clinic’s development manager, Liz Hellend and executive director, Jenny Summers. I would also interview clinic volunteers who will be attending the fundraising event and community members who are partaking in the 5K. If possible, I would also try to interview community members who have been helped by the Pregnancy Resource Clinic if they are comfortable being interviewed about the topic.
Spokes: I would use NAT sound from people partaking in the 5K (cheering, clapping, running, etc.) I would also take a visit to the clinic and use NAT sound from volunteers and get some of my b-roll footage from here as well. I would then use SOTs from Hellend, Summers and community members who are partaking in the 5K and take great b-roll footage of people volunteering at the event.
The Rim-
Beginning: I would use NAT sound and b-roll footage from the 5K happening on Saturday and use an SOT from a runner or volunteer talking about the fundraising event and how it is raising funds and awareness.
Middle: I would transition to SOTs and b-roll footage from the actual clinic. I would get SOTs from Hellend and Summers here as well as footage of volunteers and employees in their natural work habitat.
End: I would try to end my story with a SOT from a community member who was helped by the Pregnancy Resource Clinic and how it has positively impacted their life and end with a sign-out and great b-roll footage from the 5K event.
