Title: Time has run out on Mobile Home Park Families
Axle: The October 1st deadline has past as families of the Franklin Manor Mobile Home Park are now required to vacate their homes. The families were notified back in March that the park had been sold and they had until October 1st to leave their homes and find a new place to live.
Riders: The best people to tell this story would be the residents of the park especially some of the more tenured ones. Also, the new owners of the park and how they plan on using the land. Business owners around the location would also be great to talk to. Also, the police and how the construction that is going to be done with effect traffic, in that high traffic area.
The Spokes: Former owner Ed Temple has promised $2,500 dollars to the residents to help with moving expenses, however with his passing the payments have been delayed. 22 families lived in the park, that was known for selling bikes, but now only few remains of families remand as the families have struggled to start fresh in a new home.
The Rim: The closing of a trailer park can cause issues, because all of the residents need to go out into the community and find similar priced housing. Some have still struggled to do so, and event though the deadline has passed the struggles will continue for a while for these families.
