The Axle
The deadline of the registration for vote is October 6th, some people are making their efforts to get more people registered.
The Riders
People who are working for the national election preparations, people who registered for vote, people who don’t want to register.
The Spokes
- Interview with the leaders of political organization (SOT) – What kind of efforts they are making to attract more people to register; why they believe people should participate in political affairs;
- Interview with people who are doing a minor job for the election preparation (SOT) – What kind of job they are doing (maybe just put up posters, make posters, knock on every door, stay behind a info desk); why they want to be a part of the preparation; the biggest challenge they are facing when they are working for the preparation.
- Interview with people who registered (SOT) – Why they registered; The difficulties they encountered when they were trying to register; any help they got during the process.
- Interview with people who don’t want to register (SOT) – Why they don’t want to register; How to make them change their mind.
- Footage of people registering, asking questions, refuse to register, quickly walk by info desks, people are working hard for the election preparation.
The Rim
- Beginning: Start with B-rolls of a person who’s doing a minor job for the election preparation. For example, a Penn State student from a political organization is sitting behind a desk in HUB, waiting for students stop by and register. Or someone is knocking on doors to explain to every household what they are doing and persuade them to register. Or someone is putting up posters of registration all over the place. Use VO to explain what they are doing, then use a SOT of that person talking about if it’s hard to get people’s attention to register or the election itself and why they are doing the job.
- Middle: Use SOTs of the leaders of the political organizations talking about why they believe people should participate in the election and how much effort they’ve made, how much progression they’ve got. Use some B-rolls of crowds of people walking by the info desks, walking into the office, getting down to register, or just trying to walk away. Then use SOTs of people who registered or don’t want to register, basically let them explain why and how they made their decisions.
- Ending: Use some other B-rolls of people who are doing minor jobs for the election preparation, show variety. Use some other B-rolls of people who are registering or escaping from registration. Use VO to wrap up the current shape of the election preparation process.
