Axle:
A new barber shop/salon has opened up in State College, on College Ave and the barber and hairdressers specialize in tending to minority students hairstyles.
Riders:
The main barber is a Philadelphia native and has moved up here with his children and has opened up the shop with a few other people currently in State College. The shop handles all clients but they specialize in current urban style haircuts and styling. Interviews with the head barber, other hairdressers, and students who have used his services.
Spokes:
Some good B-roll will include shots of the shop and the workers tending to clients hair. A before and after shot of a client’s hair will help show the business’s work. Good standup would be from the chair myself having the barber begin a cut on me with a final sendoff and fade to black.
Rim:
Beginning – Start with showing the shop and giving some background about it’s opening and interview with the barber and main hairdresser who opened the shop. Plus, maybe an SOT with a client who is on his/her way for an appointment.
Middle – Transition to interview with the hairdressers and barber giving their interest in coming out to State College or just a college town in general and what got them into their respective field to begin with. Then provide B-roll of some of the stylists at work.
End – Conclude with SOT of another client who expresses his satisfaction with this new specialized barber shop and maybe the owners plans to expand if any. Also, a final standup of me sitting down in the chair to get a cut and give my sign off from there.
