LIM2An important aspect of studying abroad is sharing your culture with your new peers, and these three Chinese speakers want to take it a step further: They want to share their culture with Pennsylvania’s classrooms through Juniata College’s Language in Motion (LiM) program.

Coming to the United States from Taiwan for the fall semester, Yuyuan Feng wants to explore this question: “How can we understand each other?” In a world of language barriers and cultural differences, “How can we have a conversation?”

Dianqin Huang, from Chengdu, decided to get a degree in the United States in the hope of understanding American culture. To further this understanding, he wants to compare the education system (and student life) with that of his native China.

Coming from East China Normal University for the fall semester and interested in cooking and baking, Yuxin Huang wishes to see how the foods found in China and the United States differ and even how they can interact. For example, how do Americans eat noodles with a fork?

All three students will work with K-12 students in Central PA schools.
