Tactics

The Greeks, known for the phalanx, used a rather set system of tactics during the the formation’s peak years in the 5th century. Eventually, the Greeks began to innovate and experiment with it in the during for Greek hegemony in the 4th century BC. These innovations are seen by some as the inspiration for the new military that Philip II used to conquer Greece, ending its era of military domination and innovation.
