The player profile pages are one of the most viewed portions of the website. These profiles can be accessed searching for a players name in the search bar in the top right corner of the page. They also can be accessed clicking on a players name in a leaderboard or result from the search function.
Each player has their own profile page on the site that contains a wealth of information, including career statistics, biographical information, and advanced metrics such as exit velocity, expected batting average, and defensive metrics. Additionally, the player profiles feature interactive charts, graphs, and tables that allow users to analyze the player’s performance in a variety of ways, including batted ball spray charts and pitch location heat maps. One of the main aspects of the page is the “MLB Percentile Rankings” table located at the top of the page. This table allows users to see the quality of each aspect of a player’s skillset at a quick glance. These are shown in percentile rankings, so 100 is the best possible and 0 is the worst. The more red that you see in this section, the better you can assume a player to be.
