Sam Allbee
I am a NSF graduate research fellow and MS student in the Ecology Program. I obtained my B.S. in Animal Ecology and Biology from Iowa State University (USA) in 2021. In my undergraduate career, I worked in tallgrass prairie systems in Iowa, semi-arid grasslands in the Southwest, and the tropics in the Galápagos Islands, Ecuador on different research projects.
I am currently studying how the numbers and composition of soil seed banks change under different landscape elements (eg: in active pasture, under isolated trees, under fences, and in forest fragments) in order to determine the seed banks role in tropical forest regeneration potential.
