Adaptation is mainly about altering and being conceding to the situation. When it comes to public discourse and rhetoric, adaption is more considered series of modifications that takes account a whole crowd of limitations when a person bases their speech. When I say limitation it is basically when the speaker takes into consideration the situation itself, and the audience regulates and amends the speech. Furthermore, social situations involving limitations will most likely make a message less operative. For an example, a person who has been chosen to speak at a political campaign or social media will most likely make a message less effective.
Davis brings up really great issues in his speech but one of the main issues that he brings up is the issue of relevance or situations that are more appropriate rather than inappropriate of certain situations. In his speech he is mainly stressing the issue of when to be appropriate in certain speeches for an example, at a political rally, wars, social environments, protesting, and etc. He suggests things that may or may not be appropriate when conducting these kinds of speeches.
Moreover, the significance of individuals to honor and respect the limitations in which or where those certain speeches are taken place. This was one of the main issues to make a speaker more aware according to specific speeches.

This post is a bit unclear.
I don’t know what you mean in these two sentences: “Furthermore, social situations involving limitations will most likely make a message less operative. For an example, a person who has been chosen to speak at a political campaign or social media will most likely make a message less effective.” Can you rephrase and explain?
Also, I wonder who exactly are you talking about when you refer to “Davis”? Do you have a speech in mind that you could post and allow us to read as well? Second, your writing.
I’d suggest rewriting with a bit more clarity in your claims and more focus in your examples: Why, again, is it important that public discourse be appropriate to its situation? What do speakers do to adapt to changing situations and audiences? What happens when they fail to adapt?
