I like learning how to garden in full-on Pennsylvania sunshine. I’ve recently moved from a shady forested home to a new house with a glorious rock terrace that I am slowly populating with perennials.

… exploring Caribbean islands with my family. We enjoyed Balenbouche (below; an eco-estate-lodge in St Lucia), my sister-in-law spoils us at the Holetown house in Barbados, and Paul and I enjoy renting at Bluebitch Villas in USVI.

… doing happy things with my pooches, Patch, Tux, and Pook (custom haircuts by Cindy and, yes, silly Christmas outfits).

… and reading science fiction. I enjoy novels by Martha Wells (Murderbot Diaries), Neal Stephenson, and Paolo Bacigalupi, and Best Science Fiction of the Year short story collections edited by Garder Dozois for many years and now organized by Neil Clarke.
