Planning Meeting: A Night at the Races Fundraiser

A NIGHT AT THE RACES is fun night of horse racing that will include a dinner buffet, rip-tickets, an auction and more. There are many talents needed and ways to get involved.

Washington DC Bus Trip on Saturday, March 30 Hosted by Centre County Chapter
The Centre County Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association is hosting a bus trip to Washington DC for the Cherry Blossom Festival on Saturday, March 30th. Contact Grace Long (email@example.com) for more information or to register.
The day will be yours to do as you wish — a packet of maps and possible activities will be shared closer to the trip. Please note, that we cannot see into the future, so we cannot guarantee the Cherry Blossoms will have reached peak bloom.
$50 for Centre County Chapter members
$70 for non-members (additional members from household pay member price)
$25 for children under the age of 5

February Happy Hour at Olde New York
Join us for Happy Hour on Friday, February 8th from 5:00 – 7:00 at Olde New York, 2298 East College Ave.
The Centre County Chapter provides appetizers. Bring some friends along with you to join the chapter. There is a $5 charge for guests who are not members, which is waived if you become a member.
Upcoming Taste Buds Kitchen Event… Look for Details in March Newsletter
The Chapter will once again be hosting an evening of cooking fun at Taste Buds Kitchen. The event scheduled for Wednesday, April 24th will feature cooking instruction along with a dinner. Participants from the previous event held this past November had rave reviews.
Sign-up details with the featured menu selection will come out in February in the Newsletter and via the Chapter Facebook Page. Early registration is recommended as this event will likely sell out quickly.

Classical Coffeehouse is free for University Park students. A $10 donation is suggested for each community member. Donations help to sustain the coffeehouse series.
Presented by the Center for the Performing Arts at Penn State and the Penn State Alumni Association in partnership with the Blue & White Society, the PSU Music Service Club, and the Penn State Coffee Club.
Sybarite5, a string quintet that engages the senses and redefines the rules, has been described as “classical music’s most dynamic new music group.” Hear traditional and contemporary music in a casual atmosphere. Each coffeehouse includes a mini-performance, discussions among artists and audience members, and social time with the musicians and others in attendance.
Enjoy complimentary snacks and beverages. Seating is limited. Standing room is available when seating is full. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.
