The Penn State Center for Women’s Health Research is a community of interdisciplinary scholars who conduct research on women’s health and on sex/gender differences related to biology, health, or disease. All Penn State faculty members who conduct such research are invited to become a Center-affiliated investigator.
Center-affiliated investigators showcase their work by posting a brief biography and description of women’s health or sex/gender research on the Center’s website (instructions below). This will 1) display the range of women’s health research that is ongoing at Penn State in multiple disciplines and 2) help investigators with similar interests or need for expertise find each other and develop teams for future research collaborations.
To request posting of your research, please submit a brief biography and a description of your research. The biography may be in narrative form or you may prefer to link to your Penn State Profiles web page or departmental web page. The biography should include your methodologic expertise and a brief description of your area of interest.
The biography should be followed by a description of your research. This may be a description of a specific project, multiple projects, or a more global description of your research program. The description of your research may include, as appropriate:
- Title of the project(s)
- Name and department of the principal investigator and co-investigators
- Funding organization
- Project start and end dates
- An abstract or overview describing the research questions or hypotheses addressed, and the methods used to address those questions/hypotheses
- Findings to date with citations for project-related publications (and links if possible).
Please also include contact information regarding the project. If you are looking for collaborators for a project, please specify the type(s) of expertise needed.
