V-TAME
The Visual and Tactile Arts in Medical Education (V-TAME) is a series of participatory arts workshops for our medical students. Professional teaching artists lead 2-hour art workshops designed for pleasure, reflection and community building. Sponsored by the Doctors Kienle Center.

Wild Onions
Wild Onions is an annual publication funded by the Department of Humanities, Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. It is a journal of poetry, prose, and visual art, created by members of the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Community. Most entries will pertain to some dimension of medicine (for example, the experiences, observations, and reflections of patients, nurses, physicians, medical students, family members, hospital staff, volunteers, visitors, etc.). This year’s theme is “Vision” We invite submissions until Jan. 15.

In the Key of D
Concert and community dinner series for healthcare providers, medical students, faculty and staff. These performances by local and national professional musicians are sponsored by the Drs. Kienle Center for Humanistic Medicine and feature the Steinway D concert grand piano in Lecture Room D. Concert at 5:30 pm and dinner follows the performances.
