Cheer Athletics is one of the largest all-star cheerleading programs in the country. Home to over 800 athletes and 39 teams, Cheer Athletics is located in Texas. (Although, they recently bought a gym in North Carolina.) This all-star program is known for winning the most medals at the Cheerleading Worlds. Cheer Athletics has won 16 gold medals and a grand total of 35 medals since the USASF founded the Cheerleading Worlds in 2004. Cheer Athletics currently houses 8 worlds teams. The most famous are Panthers, Cheetahs, and Wildcats.
Panthers
Panthers are in the large all-girl division. This team has won 3 gold medals at the Cheerleading Worlds and multiple silver and bronze. This year, the team finished third. Panthers also won gold at the Majors in 2012. In my opinion, this team has some of the most unique all-star uniforms (pictured above). Panthers 2014 Worlds performance can be viewed here.
Cheetahs
Cheetahs are in the large coed division. The team has received 4 medals in total at the Cheerleading Worlds. The year the team received fifth place. This team is most famous for its many cheerlebrities. The most notable is Matt Smith. He is famous for his outstanding tumbling skills and not to mention his good looks and charm. He has been featured in The Cheerleader Magazine. Cheetahs are most known for their gold winning Worlds 2012 performance which can be viewed here.
Wildcats
Wildcats are in the international coed division. This means that along with competing against U.S. teams, this team also competes against teams from around the globe at the Cheerleading Worlds. Although the U.S. is most famous for all-star cheerleading, the sport is drastically growing in other countries. It is truly incredible to see all the different countries coming together. Wildcats has won 8 medals in total at Worlds, and this year they won the gold. Wildcats is famous for their cheerlebrity Carly Manning. She alone has won 4 World Championships. She has been referred to as the “internets favorite teen cheerleader,” and she is wildly popular. She recently appeared inside Teen Vogue and on ABC News (link below.) http://abcnews.go.com/Nightline/video/day-life-high-school-cheerlebrity-24530082 Wildcats 2014 Worlds performance can be viewed below.
